About Anna

Anna is a trauma-informed therapist committed to creating a safe, affirming space for healing. She earned her degrees in social work from the University of Arkansas and has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate trauma, relationship challenges, and emotional resilience. Her approach is rooted in evidence-based practices such as EMDR, DBT, and CBT, but above all, it is grounded in deep compassion and respect for each person’s unique journey.

As an advocate for anti-racism and LGBTQIA+ allyship, Anna strives to ensure that all clients feel seen, valued, and supported in their identities. She believes therapy should be a space where individuals can show up as their full selves—without fear of judgment, but with the confidence that their experiences and perspectives are honored.

In her free time, Anna enjoys decorating, spending time with friends, visiting her nieces, and using podcasts as a soundtrack for mundane tasks.

Therapeutic Approaches

EMDR

Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic memories. By using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, EMDR reduces the emotional distress associated with past experiences and fosters adaptive coping.

Person-Centered

A compassionate, client-led approach that emphasizes self-exploration, personal growth, and healing in a nonjudgmental, supportive space. The therapist provides empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard to help clients access their own inner wisdom and solutions.

CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps people recognize and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors. By changing patterns of thinking and responding, people can improve how they feel and cope with everyday challenges.

DBT

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a skills-based therapy designed to help individuals manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop distress tolerance. DBT combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and coping strategies to support lasting behavioral change.
